Walking, Drawing— Jiro Taniguchi and Kiyose

Kiyose City Museum
Finished

Artists

Jiro Taniguchi
From debuting as a manga artist until gaining international recognition, Taniguchi spent a quarter of a century in Kiyose City. The Walking Man and Raising a Dog, both created in the latter half of Taniguchi's Kiyose period, portray scenes from various parts of the city. Jiro Taniguchi's depictions of Tokyo are also heavily influenced by Kiyose's scenery. Original drawings by Taniguchi illustrating Kiyose and the surrounding area will be exhibited in this exhibition.
