Walls Tokyo Art Collection “After Nostalgia”

Walls Tokyo
From Tomorrow

Artists

Toru Kase et al.
Times change at an accelerating pace, often leaving our humanity behind.Perhaps as a reaction to this, a deep affection for the "cute" objects once adored by children seems to be spreading among adults. It is a positive sentiment toward things that are warm, nostalgic, and gentle.
However, these "cute things" differ somewhat from those of the past.As evidenced by terms like *kimo-kawaii* (grotesque-cute) and *yuru-kawaii* (laid-back cute), the concept of "kawaii" appears to have grown more complex with the times.
This exhibition features works from our collection by artists such as Mr. Doodle, Toru Kase, Shinro Ohtake, and Konatsu Taniguchi. We present and offer for sale art that is slightly cute yet captures the feeling of "now."
