Product designer Wataru Kumano's exhibition explores the fusion of interior and outdoor design, showcasing recent products that span different contexts and materials, such as woodwork. The exhibition features prototypes of the "NMG 002 Pole System," which offers flexible and modular layout changes in Space B during the exhibition. Visitors can explore up to 45 items, including Baum and Camper.
This exhibition raises questions about ownership and shared resources in our technology-driven world, emphasizing that contemporary tools provide not only convenience but also a deeper sense of richness. Since moving to Miyota, Nagano in 2017, Kumano has been creating handmade furniture, installations, and landscapes, reflecting a warm and tactile design sensibility rooted in the process of creation, use, and sensation.
