When Two Collections Meet

When combining the collections of the Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art and the Aichi Prefectural Ceramic Museum, the total number exceeds 17,000 items. This exhibition takes an omnibus format, with four curators from both institutions individually selecting themes and presenting artworks from this vast collection. Despite being sister institutions under the Aichi Prefecture, it is surprisingly the first time for such a large-scale collaborative project. This initiative was made possible by the temporary closure of the Aichi Prefectural Ceramic Museum (scheduled to reopen in April 2025).
