"Where To / do ko e?" is an alternative event for immersing oneself in "expressive acts" such as music and art without purpose, and for attempting to manifest uncertainty. Two venues, KATA and Time Out Cafe, create spaces with two different concepts that resonate and blend together.

At KATA, four acts will perform seamlessly: Takuro Okada presenting a precious guitar solo set; Natsumi Takano playing piano music at the intersection of composition and improvisation; TORSO performing ethereal chamber music with wind and string instruments; and emerging ensemble band Mood Collective centered around pedal steel guitar and fretless bass. In this space, installation works by artist Tomoko Takemasa will be exhibited—works created with the central theme of exploring "what makes me an individual" within society, using others' narratives and photographs as starting points. Additionally, Mei and others conducting olfactory research at Waseda University Graduate School will create performances that stimulate the five senses.

At Time Out Cafe, long DJ sets by MOODMAN and Shhhhh will resonate—artists who seek to glimpse the depths of selection and play precisely outside the framework of club music. In such a space, big three-dimensional works that suddenly appear and related video works will be exhibited by artist Haruka Ohta, who contemplates "what landscape is and what it represents" while confronting the relationship between himself and actual landscapes.

We hope all of you enjoy this special one-day space born from the blurring boundaries between fine arts (plastic arts, visual arts) and music (sonic arts), both categorized within the field of art.
