Nestled amidst the Yatsugatake Mountains, Southern Alps, and Kinpu-san, Kitatsuru City finds itself situated within the significant geological division of the Japanese archipelago known as the Fossa Magna fault. Its distinctive topography and climate have given rise to a unique global environment, fostering a rich tapestry of nature and culture. However, recent emphasis on diversity has paradoxically led to fractures and divisions in matters such as national identity, ideology, and gender, resulting in feelings of solitude and separation.

Yatsugatake Art Ecology 2023 seeks to liberate the thoughts and qualities of its visitors through artistic creations and expressions that seamlessly blend with the local natural surroundings. Experience the abundance of the xenogender ideology, which encompasses relationships with non-biological entities, including non-human life forms and plants, brought about by the division shaped by Yatsugatake's Fossa Magna fault.
