Kinkan Publishing will be releasing "Tokyo Ghost Busters" by Yoshiyuki Uchibori this December. Additionally, a commemorative exhibition for the publication will be held at the Kinkan Gallery from December 14, 2023, to January 14, 2024. Uchibori, working as a still photographer in the film industry, has been capturing and documenting the demolition sites in Tokyo as a photographer for the past decade.

The book "Tokyo Ghost Busters" compiles approximately 200 photographs taken by Uchibori at various demolition sites. In recent years, many buildings that were considered pre-war and post-war architectural landmarks have been demolished. Demolition sites are usually enclosed, and we rarely get to witness the process. Uchibori has ventured into these sites, capturing the scenes beyond the enclosures with a rangefinder camera. This can be seen as a record of Tokyo continually undergoing urban renewal. The book will be available for purchase starting from December 14 at the exhibition venue and Kinkan Online Store.

On January 11, a conversation will be held with Yoshiyuki Uchibori and Naoto Nakajima, a specialist in urban planning who contributed to the book.
