Yosuke Amemiya
As Bug's commemorative first exhibition, Yosuke Amemiya's solo exhibition “AQ& I” will be held. Amemiya won the Grand Prix at the 15th Hitotsubo Exhibition of Graphic Arts in 2000, and in 2011 he received a scholarship from the Ezoe Memorial Recruit Foundation to study abroad in the Netherlands.

After his studies in the Netherlands, Amemiya moved to Berlin, Germany, where he continues his activities. His cross-disciplinary production method, which incorporates painting, sculpture, video, and performance, can be described as a practice to shake up the conditions and universality of the "world.

For example, the project "A Stone Carried Around for 1,300 Years," which began in 2014 and will last for 1,300 years, is a prime example of this practice. This attitude of looking at the world through art and attempting to reconfigure it resonates with the philosophy of Bug.

In this exhibition, Amemiya will develop the accumulation of his past activities and create an event that will create a chemical reaction in an otherwise empty space.
