Yosuke Yajima "Anonymous Works"

Cale
Finished

Artists

Yosuke Yajima
This series of work involves enlarging pre-taken photographs to use as backgrounds, against which faceless figures are positioned and photographed. The compositions are intentionally mismatched and lack depth. Yajima draws inspiration from contemporary societal changes, including the impact of technology and the disconnect between intellect and instinct post-pandemic. Yajima aims to address regional dilution and individual anonymization indirectly through image creation. Yajima's upbringing in a newly developed rural area significantly influences Yajima's work, which explores the environment and relationships experienced by the early 1980s generation.
