Yuka Miyauchi Exhibition

Kirishima Open-air Museum, Kagoshima
Finished

Artists

Yuka Miyauchi
Yuka Miyauchi has been painting squid ever since her fascination with their beauty and deliciousness. In 2021, Miyauchi created her largest public work to date in the town of Yusui, Kagoshima, using paint made from squid, which resonates with the life and death of squid.

This exhibition is an opportunity to reflect on the state of civilization through Miyauchi's works, which focus on the beauty and fragility of "squid" life and reflect the changes in society and her own inner life.
