Yuki Hayashi "We Stare at the Light"

Gallery Parc
Finished

Artists

Yuki Hayashi
Yuki Hayashi will showcase recent and new works, including a unique piece titled "Space and Time," using a magic lantern illuminated by candlelight to project images. Before the exhibition, Hayashi asked for photographs and stories of unforgettable days from many individuals. The artist then created glass projection slides from these images and will project them in the venue using a custom-made magic lantern lit by candlelight. The resulting images will be observed and shared by attendees until the candle burns out, prompting reflection on the nature of shared memories in this "space and time."

At this exhibition, every hour, staff members will turn off the power to projectors and lighting, and use candles to light an original magic lantern for slide projection. Each session will last approximately 10 minutes, and the slides will be different each time.
*Please note that during the projection, it will not be possible to view other exhibits.
