Solo exhibition of Yumi Nishimura. Nishimura explores the possibilities of painting by taking flat characters as a motif, a concept from Max Lüthi's work on European folk narratives. While Nishimura's work starts with this concept, it doesn't aim to illustrate the inner workings of flat characters. Instead, it represents something unique that arises from the interplay of imagery and material. The exhibition will showcase several new paintings.
