Yurie Nagashima
Minatomachi Potluck Building will hold a project with artist Yurie Nagashima to learn about "care." Nagashima has been creating works of photography, installations, and writings from a feminist perspective, focusing on marginalized people and events in society. In this project, Nagashima will stay in Minatomachi and open the venue to the public as her studio. During the Triennial, Nagashima will confront new techniques, such as performance, in addition to her traditional expression, while keeping in mind the concept of "self-portrait," which she has been working on since her debut. In addition, by sharing time and space with local residents and visitors, and through dialogue and exchange, the artist will consider and practice "care" for others and himself while creating a variety of events.
