Yushu (Yuma Nishimura, Shuhei Fukuda)
229 Gallery, based in Okachimachi, presents a unit of artists. Yushu is comprised of Yuma Nishimura, a visual artist who creates work based on the concept of leaving individuals' existences behind to the future, and Shuhei Fukuda, who applies silver leaf to support and presents the change in the material caused by surrounding environments. In this exhibition, their individual works will be shown, as well as their collaborative works that present the relationship between sculptures and photographs, which are rooted in, and developed from these individual works.
