Once, travel was an encounter with the unknown. Today, in a world where every landscape fits into a smartphone screen, we trace the contours of a pre-arranged escape from the everyday. This exhibition, What Falls into the Palm, is a quiet response to that reality.
During a journey through Mongolia, I was unexpectedly met with isolation. In that extreme solitude, the landscapes I saw echoed back in unforeseen ways. This body of work gently reexamines the meaning of travel and photography in our present time.
