Kyoji Takahashi
A two-part exhibition for the 2019 publication of Kyoji Takahashi’s photography collection “World’s End – Photography Always Continues the End of the World.” Part 1 (January 23–February 11) features portraits while Part 2 (February 14–March 2) shows landscape photography. The series features photographs taken 30 years prior in the garden of English film director and artist Derek Jarman, who died of HIV in 1994, and images from the late 2010s of Berlin, London, and Tokyo suburbs. Takahashi states, “These seemed to be places at the end of world. At the same time, everything was there.”
