Beuys + Palermo

Museum of Modern Art, Saitama
Finished

Artists

Joseph Beuys, Blinky Palermo
One of the most important artists since World War II, Joseph Beuys widely viewed society as a sculpture and set out to change society as a whole. Blinky Palermo, who studied under Beuys, tried to quietly shake our perceptions with his modest abstract works. This exhibition, which brings together two seemingly contrasting artists will provide an opportunity to question the relationship between society and art, and to rethink what constitutes the act of art.
