This exhibition commemorates the 155th anniversary of the birth of Kyosui Kawanabe (1868-1935), daughter of Kyosai Kawanabe, and focuses on Kyosui's work, including hanging scrolls, sketches, and gorgeous nishiki-e (brocade) paintings, all based on drafts by her father, Kyosai.
In the third gallery, visitors will be able to view the panel display of "Kyosai Hyakuzu", a series of prints in which Kyosai added illustrations to proverbs.
