"I am presenting two series of my work. The first is entitled "Mama Doll" and the second " home light". My first series, "mama Doll" focuses on the Japanese Family system. Many Japanese fathers have little interest in their families and spend a lot of time outside the home. This means that Japanese mothers have a lot of power within the home and they use it to control and discipline their children.used photographs of real families for the Mama Doll series.only used photographs of sons who were under 12 years of age.
This is because mothers usually lose their power for controlling their sons after the age of 12, while daughters stay within their mothers control until they are grown up. I slightly changed the hair and shoulder line only, but I did not change the facial features at all.It is very interesting to see how similar the mothers, daughters and sons are, I was very surprised. My second series of work is entitled "home light". This series focuses on the home where the family lives. To me, "home light" means that when there is a light on in the family home it is a sigh of a happy home. This series shows the final dream for people a house for their families. However, a house on its own is just a house it is only after people live in it that it will become a home. While my first series looked at the Japanese family system and identified some problems, my second series is a positive statement on how wonderful it is to simply be part of a family."
