Hiroshi Awatsuji
This exhibition presents the works of textile designer Hiroshi Awatsuji (1929-1995). He produced numerous innovative designs after the WWII and inspired the beginning of a new era. His works are characterized by the use of vivid colors and daring compositions that combine Japanese traditional arts and Western textile design. In order to understand his creative process, numerous sketches are exhibited alongside the final designs.
