Tokyo Photographic Art Museum
Finished
This is the 14th edition of the "New Cosmos Of Photography Exhibition", which is part of Canon's Cultural Aid Project. The purpose of this exhibition is to scout, train and support young and promising photographers. The public subscription policy has proven to be succesful, with rising stars Yuki Onodera and Masafumi Sato as previous entrants.
The highly estimated event has become a gateway to success for many young photographers. It is also the ultimate opportunity for them to be judged by big players such as regular judges Nobuyoshi Araki, Kohtaro Iizawa, Fumio Nanjoh, and Daido Moriyama. This year's guest judges are world-renowned photographer William Eggleston and Japanese big shot Mika Ninagawa. They selected the 7 most promising names out of 37.604 pictures by 1.324 people. Last year's 2nd prize winners Yasuyo Kawamura and Hirofumi Mizoguchi also have their work showcased. Enjoy these fresh and powerful images, full of vigor and variety.
