life/art '05 Part 3 Kenichi Kanazawa

Shiseido Gallery
Finished

Artists

Kenichi Kanazawa
This is the final part of the exhibition series "life/art" that contemplates the possibilities of a new genre that is not traditional art and crafts. In this series, the work of five renowned artists from the comtemporary Japanese art world is periodically reviewed.
In the finale, each of the five artists will hold a solo exhibition in response to the main theme of "life/art", the connection between art and crafts, or art and lifestyles.
The artist in part 3 of the series is Kenichi Kanazawa, an artist that uses metals as material. In the "fragments of sound" series, he held live performances using his works. This time, he will exhibit his new piece "shells of sound" made from the same materials. New video work created with Imamura last year will also be shown.
