Noriaki Yokosuka
Noriaki Yokosuka died suddenly at the young age of 65 on January 14, 2003. He left us numerous excellent advertising pictures with which he earned his spurs as a commercial photographer. During his photography studies at the Japan University, he started working for Shiseido's corporate magazine "House Organ" and received a lot of attention with his modern and innovative approach to advertising. In 1960, he graduated and became a freelance ad photographer, a job he continued to perform with perfection until his death. However, he also had an artistic face. In the 1960s, he produced several art works entitled "Mode-In", "Black", "Shoot", "Galvanize" , and "Wall". In the 1980s "Koyoru Girl", "Moon", "The Taiko Incident" saw the light, followed by "Eros' Room", "Time's Garden", "Enantiomer" in the 1990s.
At this "Light and Demons" exhibition, we get a chance to once again behold Yokosuka's refined technique and groundbreaking originality.
