This exhibition is a result of the meeting of two artists photographers who share a love of travel. Both of them spent much of their life wandering around the globe in search of inspiration. Supporting themselves with their photographic work, they have been going and going in different directions.
Most people travel as tourists, just looking at sights and monuments and enjoying themselves. Santoro and Strianese are not classic tourists, they travel as explorers of the human nature. Their travels are a mixture of unexpected experiences, improvising day in day out, sometimes in very uncomfortable situations and places. The camera becomes an incomparable record instrument of their memories.
At a certain point, they both realized that traveling is a state of the conscience and of the soul. Thus, a journey is not only possible in the outside world, but also inside. This exhibition is the result of this, of an inner journey towards mysterious destinations, exploring and discovering the most adventurous place, the depth of our thoughts.
