Artists

Ayako Okubo
During her high school years, Ayako Okubo made films, performances and drew manga; during her university years, following her time at the Katsuhiko Hibino studio she studied film-making, programme making and spatial production. At that time, she had no studio of her own, and in the wandering, experimental search for an artistic aim, she came up with a manga journal called "Kiteki" in which "Bottsu," whose face is a "box of mirrors," is the leading character. Adapted as a book in 2004, it was also turned into an installation exhibition.
2 years later, "Kiteki Bouyage" was published and features as a character in NHK's educational programme "Tenzai Terebikun." This exhibition features all these works in two parts, each part lasting two weeks.
