Artists

Guy Bourdin
Guy Bourdin is one of the most influential fashion photographers of the 20th century. Following his passing in 1991, interest in reviving his lifetime work rose. In 2001, ten years after his death, a photobook 'Exhibita' was published to reveal the whole gamut of his production. Bourdin's work made an impact on contemporary image-making, and still is a source of influence for a large number of photographers, stylists, art directors and artists. This current exhibition was premiered in London's Victoria & Albert Museum in April 2003, and this visit is the artist's long-awaited first photo exhibition in Tokyo. In addition to its European shows, his photos taken in Tokyo in the 1980s will also be premiered along with many other original prints.
