May 1st is the 50th anniversary of the public acknowledgement of the Minamata disease. About 45 years have passed since he started photographing Minamata and in that time, magazines, newspapers and books have featured writings about Minamata. However, half a century later, this exhibition has been set up so as to show the people of the young generation the photographs which documented the Minamata disease.
There are 52 monochrome prints in this exhibition, covering 45 years of documentation of the Minamata disease.
