"80 Years of Kinder Book: Changes Seen in the Cover Pages" Exhibition

P&P Gallery
Finished
The children's magazine "Kinder Book" is celebrating its 80th anniversary. Following the publications of "Kodomo-no-tomo" (Children's Friend) in 1914 and "Kodomo-no-kuni" (Children's Country) in 1922, "Kinder Book" was the first "monthly" children's book in Japan. It is also known as an "observational picture book" for incorporating a scientific perspective. This book marks the significance of picture books for educational purposes in Japanese society. This exhibition introduces the cover designs used for this magazine in the past 80 years.
