The Tokyo International Anime Fair (commonly known as "TAF") is the world's largest-scale anime trade fair that is held at Tokyo Big Sight every spring. Participants come from around the world each year to enjoy numerous events such as the "Trade Fair" where anime-related companies have booths, stage performances and films, and the "Tokyo Anime Awards" which give public recognition to the best anime works. Last year's fair was visited by a record 256 companies (73 from abroad) and a total of 98,984 anime fans ranging from businesses to families.
