In Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, where Kusamoto was born, there are many tourist spots called "Hell". Kusamoto takes these as her basic motifs and brings out both the strangeness and the beauty in them. Through snapshots, Kusamoto creates unusual instants which make viewers feel the strangeness that lurks within the everyday.
