Yoashitaka Yanagi
The master weaver Yoashitaka Yanagi (1911-2003)was one of the instructors at Joshibi University of Art and Design at the time of the University's founding.

This exhibition is the first major retrospective of Yoashitaka Yanagi's work and includes kimono, obi, and scarves made by Yanagi.The exhibition also includes works by other teacher from the early days of the University as well as student works. This retrospective gives viewers a sense of Yanagi's passion for making things.
