Ginza Graphic Gallery (ggg) is holding an exhibition entitled "Now Updating... THA/ Yugo Nakamura's Interactive Design" this month, concurrently with ddd Gallery in Osaka.
Yugo Nakamura is a cutting-edge interactive designer who has gained much recognition internationally with his groundbreaking web interface designs and minimal yet sophisticated sense for clean graphics and motion image creation. THA is a design studio comprised of 8 designers such as Yugo Nakamura, Yosuke Abe, Keita Kitamura and Takayuki Fukatsu, who have all been engaged in the production of video and spatial installations with a focus on website and software development.
On display at their first exhibition is their past work for NEC Ecotonoha, Amana's Fotologue, Samurai, Uniqlo USA, SoftBank, MoMA, image bookmark service "Ffffound!" and more. Also on view are their study works, original works created specially for this exhibition, as well as prototypes for their future shows. This exhibition introduces fascinating aspects of interactive design that bring to light global, moment-specific and collective perspectives on the field.
