"Student Works from Lahti Institute of Design (Finland) Exhibition"

Tokyo Midtown Design Hub
Finished
Finland has a population of 4,500,000. The capital city Helsinki has a population of 500,000. Lahti, Finland's eighth largest city with a population of 100,000, is located about 100 kilometers east-northeast of Helsinki. This exhibition features works by students from the illustrious Lahti Institute of Design, an applied technology university with a practice-based education system. Works include practice works to products commercialized by one of Europe's top academic-industrial cooperations, Braun prize winners and graduation works. Keep an eye out for the eco-brush, a dish washing implement that is quickly becoming a staple in Finnish kitchens. The piece is a perfect representation of the school's educational ideology, environmentally conscious identity and emphasis on styling and design.
