Jun Tomita
Solo exhibition by Jun Tomita, a representative dye artist from Japan who is active at an international level. Using a traditional splash dye technique called "kasuri", Tomita creates works made out of yarn that has been dyed in many layers over and over again, giving the final product the impression of a painting. His works are in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and displayed in Tawaraya in Kyoto and the Kyoto Tokyu Hotel designed by Waro Kishi.
