"X-scapes Design Exhibition: Composite Landscapes of Nature and Architecture"

This exhibition showcases two "X-Scapes design" projects by three architects and designers: Cristiano Toraldo Di Francia, Hiroshi Soeda and Tomoiku Ara.
Di Francia, Soeda and Ara run a series of SAT building workshops while working with their respective architecture and design outfits. A separate workshop is held for each project they undertake, at which discussions are held and experimental possibilities for synergistic designs are explored.
One of the projects being showcased at this exhibition is the Chitose Karasuyama architectural project, realized in March this year with the help of such a workshop. The three architects gathered at Di Francia's atelier to decide on a basic design and bring the project to fruition. On display here is a short film that shows viewers the finished residential building and courtyard, designed by taking into account the surrounding spaces in order to create a "garden-like residence."
The second project is a furniture design project, manufactured and produced by Shigenori Miyamoto.
