This exhibition features numerous products fascinating from a design perspective, created by Suntory and Shiseido over the course of more than a century since their founding. This is a perfect opportunity for visitors to realize how intimately connected their lives are to design, and a chance to experience firsthand the spirit of sturdy yet supple design embodied by postwar Japanese manufacturing, which single-handedly provided the supporting framework for the resurgent Japanese economy after WWII.
This exhibition is a joint collaborative project between Shiseido, Suntory and the design department of Tokyo University of the Arts that offers practicing designers and the next generation of design students the chance to discover inspirations for their own activities.
