"15th Akanisha Noh Kyogen Mask Exhibition"

Ginza Art Hall
Finished

Artists

Michihiko Ito et al.
This is the 3rd installment of Akanisha Noh Kyogen Mask Exhibition.

While the original purpose of masks is to be used in Noh performance, they have lately acquired ornamental purposes, being frequently presented at exhibitions.

Handed down from the Muromachi Period, mask tradition has instilled an ingrained aesthetic sense among the Japanese. Akanisha members aspire for the creation of "new masks" through the amalgamation of tradition and innovation.
