"Yoshiro Taniguchi and the Noguchi Room" Exhibition

Keio University Mita Campus
Finished

Artists

Yoshiro Taniguchi
Architect Yoshiro Taniguchi handled many of the restoration projects for the Mita campus of Keio University in the wake of WWII, one of which was the Noguchi Room (1952), produced in collaboration with the sculptor Isamu Noguchi. After undergoing a redesign, this beautiful space was shifted to a new, different environment to accompany the construction of the south wing of the Mita campus in 2004. This exhibition features photos of Taniguchi's original design for the Noguchi Room in addition to photos of his other prewar architectural projects.
