Kawasaki City Museum
Finished

Artists

Tomihiro Hoshino
After suffering from a sudden accident, Hoshino underwent a long struggle towards recovery. During that time, he received dedicated care from the people around him. This experience led him to start creating paintings in which he expressed his beliefs and philosophies in words. The flowers he depicted and the words that accompanied them remind the viewer of the beauty and meaning of life.

In addition to a total of 100 paintings, this exhibition showcases Hoshino's beloved painting tools, photographs and video footage, all of which offer a retrospective look at his past anguish and creative career.
