"The Other Side of Texture" Exhibition

"Texture" has the same etymology as the word "text" - the Latin "textura," which means to weave. Just as woven threads become textiles and woven words become text, the design that emerges on the surface of cloth and written documents is a form of texture. Texture often tends to be understood as a superficial feature, but in fact it involves the act of weaving as well as the surface that eventually results from the thing being woven, its background and context. SOY LABO takes into account phenomena from daily life and incorporates them into their product and object making process. This exhibition focuses on the various textures that enrich living designs and the invisible warp and weft of his processes woven into the underside of those textures.

This exhibition is a part of the Ozone support exhibition series in support of young creators.
