This exhibition focuses on a selection of works from the Okura collection that address the image of the "pure land" found in Buddhist teachings, including "Portrait of 16 Arhats" (an important cultural property from the Kamakura period), recently restored with the assistance of a cultural preservation foundation run by Sumitomo.
