Artists

Ryuji Miyamoto
As the title suggests, this solo show by Ryuji Miyamoto showcases black and white photographs and videos that have not been previously exhibited, including a number of vintage prints that were taken in New York in 1975, as well as works newly taken this year.

Known for his "Kobe" series of photos documenting the aftermath of the Great Kobe Earthquake of 1995, as well as "Kowloon Fortress", which traced the dismantlement of the infamous Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong, Miyamoto returned to the site of the Kobe earthquake 15 years after it occurred in order to capture the face of a city that underwent a revival in the wake of a catastrophe.
