Katsumasa Kuroda
Katsumasa Kuroda was born in Shiga Prefecture in 1945. After attending Musashino Art University and graduate school at Tokyo University of the Arts, he won the Grand Prix at the Japan International Art Exhibition in 1988. His paintings are notable for its powerful, improvised approach using a variety of different materials.

This solo exhibition of new work features paintings produced since 2000 that feature a brighter and more vivid palette than his previous output, with the lively expressions and movements now much subdued.
