Tsuneko Sasamoto
This exhibition features works by Japan's foremost female photojournalist, Tsuneko Sasamoto. Sasamoto was born in Tokyo in 1914 and joined the Photographic Society of Japan in 1940. Later she joined the Chiba Shimbun in 1945, and turned freelance in 1947. On display are portraits that showcase her profound humanity and aesthetic sense.
