Issei Suda is known as the first photographer in Japan to make use of a 6x6 camera. His "Journey to a Corner Tobacco Shop", however, was his first long-term series of work made using a Leica 35mm. This is Suda's first retrospective exhibition, accompanied by the publication of his photography book.
