Studio Harcourt Paris
Studio Harcourt was founded in Paris in 1934 at the height of the golden age of black and white French film. Making use of effective lighting techniques borrowed from film, the studio produced stunning portrait photography with extraordinary depth and three-dimensionality while drawing out the most of the subject's individuality.
This exhibition showcases portraits of legendary 20th century French actors and actresses such as Jeanne Moreau, Catherine Deneuve, Virginie Ledoyen, Vincent Perez and Sophie Marceau.
Concurrently being held is the French Film Festival 2011 (June 23rd-26th).
