Kazu Wakita "Warm Room of the Heart"

Takasaki Museum of Art
Finished

Artists

Kazu Wakita
Born in 1908 in Tokyo, Kazu Wakita moved to Germany when he was 15 and there studied academic painting. Returning to Japan in 1936 he formed a new group of painting with the likes of Ryohei Koiso.

His work is characterized by its intimacy with everyday life, and motifs of children, birds, flowers and clothes...a room in the middle of our hearts and minds.
