Tatsuo Ikeda
The artist was born in 1928 and was a Kamikaze pilot during the war, which ended when he was 17. His artistic output has grappled with social issues and the possibilities of reportage, including the American airbase struggles, mine strikes and other post-war Japanese controversies. His new work deals with the Fukushima accident.
