Artists

Kazuki Umezawa
Kazuki Umezawa uses digital data and files drawn from the online world as the materials for his collages. With vast numbers of characters and motifs he creates and composes images out of these fragments. For this show, his second at CASHI, he will exhibit a new work, "Mahojin [magician] Series", made of even smaller fragments, and in a highly dense decorative style. It is themed around the unfamiliar legal expression "res nullius" (ownerless), made famous through the TEPCO compensation controversy.
