Shakkei - The Borrowed Landscape

The students of French Architecture School ENSAPL (Lille) and the Japanese ICS College of Arts (Tokyo) here undertake a workshop in appropriating the traditional notion of shakkei (borrowed landscape) central to the construction of Japanese gardens and applying it to the modern day city landscape. The results of this workshop will be presented in the form of drawings and models in the the Institut Français' gallery.
